1/8 npt thread tap & drill size
ane/eight npt thread tap & drill size
am I right in thinking that a ane/8 npt thread needs a 11/32 drill and is this the same as 6mm ?
ohhh looking again information technology may be 8.73mm ? looks like I realy demand to go an 11/32 drill bit as my metric set but won't practice ....

I remember Lee will be talking about a M10x1 thread which is close just y'all will patently make a ameliorate seal and at that place'south less chance of your sender coming out if you use your tapered sender in a tapered hole along with a bit of anaerobic thread sealant. Is that a thread sealant that puts on muscle very quickly? No wonder it seals threads thoroughly. My friend Mrs Malaprop took some of those anaerobic steroids. She was fine until she got stuck in an unventilated room, then she simply piled on weight.

According to my table, the required drill would be 8.5mm hither Now, it's in Danish, but "gevindbor" means drill bit, and "gevind" is thread in "gevind pr one"" every bit in thread per inch. (Y'all shoul all just speak Danish as you lot first language, it would make things a lot easier)
Either that, or buy a Zeus volume
The Zeus book does non cover NPT me thinks. At least not the 1976 version I've got.
Drill is eight.7mm. A 11/32 would do ( 8.7312mm ) only 3/100 of a mm bigger, approx 1 thou. Pete
