How To Change Inverted Camera On Iphone
A TikToker has gone viral after solving the tech-age problem of not being able to take decent selfies on your iPhone.
You see, most people who take photos of themselves have to do so on Snapchat and Instagram Stories because the stock Camera app flips our photos.
Because we're not used to seeing ourselves this way round, it can look strange and be, frankly, jarring to see our faces in reverse.
Welp, turns out you can switch this feature off and take the perfect portrait using the Apple camera rather than having to log into social media every time.
The camera hack was shared by user @taliamar in a video captioned 'WHY DOES NO ONE TELL US THIS'.
She says: "You know how all of us collectively take all of our selfies on Snapchat and on Instagram Stories because we all look ugly in the Apple camera because it flips our photos?
"You can turn that feature off... I KNOW!"
Explaining the very simple instructions, she says: "So you have to go into your Apple settings, scroll down and find your camera settings.
"Now you're in your camera settings you go to 'Mirror Front Camera' and turn it on. It is off by default, it's so easy to do and I don't know how no one talks about this."
The post has since received thousands of comments from people grateful for the handy tip.
That includes one user who wrote: "Hold up, she just solved every world crisis ever," and another who said: "TALIA YOU'RE A LIFESAVER OMG".
A third commented: "So glad I found this before summer."
The only downside to this is that the feature is only available to devices with iOS 14 and later - sorry to all of you with older models.
For more iPhone hacks, check out this one that lets you delete photos without losing them forever so you can get the most out of your storage.
The trick involves making use of your iCloud function and lets you backup photos, videos and other files to the cloud.
Usually, iCloud syncs automatically with your phone, so it means that if you delete a photo, it will also be wiped from your iCloud too.
Guess what though - you can easily decouple them, meaning all your precious photos (and selfies, you vain so and so's) will be safe and sound for the rest of time - even if they're gone from your phone.
All you have to do is go to Settings on your phone and tap your name at the top. Then go to iCloud, Photos and then tap on iCloud Photos. Go on to Photos and there you have the option to toggle so that they don't show up.
You can then delete photos from your phone and they will stay on iCloud. You're welcome.
